Today, energy-related costs and energy management decisions are important to many types of organizations. To explore the priorities of energy decision-makers, SAFMA is partnering on a global survey on energy practices and investments in the real estate, facilities management, and buildings sectors.

We invite you, or an appropriate colleague, to participate in the survey.  The survey does not require specific energy usage information, and should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

The survey respondents are kept anonymous, and the results will be publicly available in June 2012. Take the survey

Workplace Strategies Around the World

The IFMA Foundation will be launching a book about “Workplace Strategies Around the World” at World Workplace in October in Phoenix.  This book provides practical tools to help Facility Managers from around the globe, in large, mid-size and small organizations lead change in the workplace, both strategically and tactically. 

The book examines forces driving change in the office and prepares Facility Managers for the evolving nature of work and the workplace of the future.  Sustainability is a “way of life” for most companies.  With the emphasis on the triple bottom line -- people, planet and profit -- becoming more popular, this topic is woven throughout the book and addressed in case studies from around the world.
